Your adventure kicks off with a 6 pm welcome meeting, but if you arrive early, take some time to explore Dubrovnik’s medieval Old Town.   • This morning, depart Dubrovnik and journey to Kotor, a 5th-century UNESCO World Heritage site tucked into a secluded bay. Cross the border into Montenegro and stop in Perast for a short walk and coffee. Then, enjoy a scenic boat ride across the Bay of Kotor, including a visit to the historic Lady of Skrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks) island, built around a Madonna image discovered in 1452. Afterward, explore Kotor’s Old Town with your guide, wandering its cobblestone streets and charming stone buildings. Once you arrive at your hotel, the evening is yours to relax or explore at leisure.

Visit Lovćen National Park and, if you’re up for it, climb the stairs to Njegoš Mausoleum atop Jezerski Vrh (1,647 m / 5,403 ft) for breathtaking panoramic views—including, on a clear day, sights all the way to Albania. Learn about Petar II Petrović-Njegoš, the poet and ruler honored there, then continue to Cetinje Monastery to admire its history, architecture, and Orthodox relics, including the right hand of St. John the Baptist. Finish with a local tasting in Njeguši, sampling renowned prosciutto, cheese, and honey, before returning to Kotor for a free afternoon and optional climb of the city walls overlooking the bay.

  • Some travel days are long, with stops along the way to break up the journey, and border crossings may take extra time, so a little patience is needed.
  • Albania and Montenegro are emerging travel destinations, so amenities may be more basic compared to more established European countries—plan accordingly for a comfortable and rewarding adventure.

Just 1.7 km (about a 15-minute walk) from Dubrovnik’s UNESCO-protected Old City, Hotel Lero offers stunning sea views along the way. If you prefer not to walk uphill on the return, bus number 4 departs from Pile Gate, with the fourth stop just 100 meters from the hotel.
All rooms include free Wi-Fi, SAT TV with LED screen, individually controlled air-conditioning, minibar, electric kettle, tea/coffee facilities, direct dial phone, electronic safe, desk, wardrobe, bathroom with bathtub or shower, hairdryer, bathrobe, slippers, and toiletries.

  • Airport Bus: Hourly service from the airport to the main bus station near the port. The hotel is a 5–10 minute walk toward Old Town.
  • Pre-booked Transfers: If you’ve booked an airport transfer, your driver will meet you in the arrivals hall holding a board with the Intrepid logo or your name. For flight changes, cancellations, or if you cannot locate your driver, contact the transfer operator at +385 98 285 298.
