- Passport Validity: Passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your intended date of entry and should have at least one blank page.
- Extension: "If you would like to remain in the Philippines for more than 30 days, you are required to apply for an extension of your visa at one of the offices of the Bureau of Immigration in the Philippines prior to the expiration of your initial stay of 30 days." Extensions are very common.

Yes, definitely, and it’s mandatory for all the guests of EurotourClub. The standards of medical care differ, and the evacuation of patients to the mainland in the case of remote islands can be quite complicated and expensive.
- Medical & Evacuation: Your policy should provide high-limit medical insurance and medical evacuation, which includes repatriation.
- Trip & Activity Protection: Make sure the policy includes cancellation and interruption of a trip as well as adventure activities such as scuba diving, motorbike rental, and hiking.
- Natural Disasters: The Philippines is susceptible to typhoons. Think about coverage for trip delays or cancellations in the event of severe weather.
Tipping is welcome, though not necessarily expected, in general. There may be a service charge in some more upmarket establishments.

While internet connectivity is adequate in large cities and in tourist destinations, in remote islands and rural areas, internet connectivity is either nonexistent or very poor.
- Wi-Fi: Generally available in hotels, resorts, and cafes in cities like Manila, Cebu, Boracay, and Palawan, though connections tend to be slower compared to those in America.
- Coverage: There will be very limited or no connectivity available during island-hopping tours, boat excursions, and in the remote beach spots.
- Best for Connectivity: Consider this the digital detox package. Download your map, your reading material, and your entertainment.
Yes, but the cost of international roaming is high. It is advised to purchase a local SIM card, which is cheap.
- For US Citizens: International plan from your provider; Data plans tend to be quite expensive overseas.
- Best Local Solution: Buy a prepaid SIM card from Globe Telecom or Smart Communications as soon as you arrive in the Philippines. They provide reasonably priced data plans (for instance, 5GB for around $5). Your passport will be required when you register the card.
- Coverage: There is adequate coverage in populated areas, although it is very weak at sea and in distant islands.

There are several vaccines that are highly recommended for people who are planning to travel to the Philippines.
- Routine: Make sure that routine vaccines (MMR, Tdap) are current.
- Recommended: Hepatitis A, Typhoid, & Cholera (oral) due to possible exposure via food & water. Rabies for prolonged stay, adventurers, & those dealing with animals.
- Yellow Fever: A vaccination certificate is required if you are coming from a country where Yellow Fever is a risk.
- Malaria and Dengue: Malaria is low in the majority of tourist areas, but present in the rural and forested areas. Dengue fever is a risk throughout the country. Insect repellent containing DEET, long-sleeved clothing and long pants, and bed nets when available can prevent both.
- Official Advice: Visit a travel clinic 4-6 weeks before your trip.
