Leave Launceston and travel toward Devonport, stopping at Tiagarra Museum on Mersey Bluff. Here, take part in a Welcome to Country and guided visit at the Tasmanian Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place, where petroglyphs and Palawa cultural history give the landscape a deeper voice. Continue along part of the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail to Penguin for lunch, then take your first walk at Philosopher Falls. The trail moves through temperate rainforest and finishes with a steeper set of steps down toward the falls. Later, continue to Corinna, a remote former mining settlement surrounded by takayna/Tarkine rainforest, where dinner is served in the evening.
