After breakfast, drive to Farina, a near-ghost town on the edge of the desert with stone ruins and a restoration project keeping its story alive. The town's underground bakery opens only once a year as a fundraiser, and if your timing lines up, you may get to see it in action. Continue to Copley for lunch, then drive to Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary in the Flinders Ranges. After arrival, free time lets you choose a walk or hike among geological formations, granite peaks, gorges and waterholes while keeping watch for birds, reptiles, mammals and the endangered yellow-footed rock wallaby.
