Travel to Simpsons Gap in Tjoritja, also known as West MacDonnell Ranges National Park. Join a First Nations guide for a walk through this spiritual site, learning about local plants, wildlife and the story of the great Tjunba, or Perentie, totem that protects the gorge. The walk also follows the riverbed marking the boundary between Eastern and Northern Arrernte tribes. Continue along the Stuart and Lasseter Highways toward Watarrka National Park, home of Kings Canyon. Your leader will guide you along the Kings Creek Walk between huge cliffs and otherworldly rock formations. Tonight, dinner is included, with the option to visit the Kings Canyon Light Towers afterward.
