The Nile gets personal.

Egypt, Elevated

This 9-day Premium Egypt journey starts and ends in Cairo, pairing the country's headline icons with a smoother, more personal way to travel. You'll sleep near the pyramids, fly to Aswan, settle into a three-night Nile riverboat Feature Stay, share meals in Nubian and Cairo family homes, and explore royal tombs and temples that still feel larger than life.

Why you'll love this trip

  • Nile Feature Stay
Spend three nights on a riverboat with a pool, sundeck and views.
  • Giza With Context
Walk Giza and the Sphinx with expert guidance, not guesswork.
  • Food With Families
Share Nubian and Cairo home meals that make Egypt feel personal.
  • Tutankhamun's Tomb
Step into the Valley of the Kings and see the young pharaoh's chamber.
  • Felucca Sunset
Toast the evening from a traditional sailboat as Aswan glows gold.
  • Cairo After Dark
Sip tea in the city's oldest coffeeshop and wander Khan al-Khalili.
This is Egypt with the rough edges softened and the wonder left intact. The pace gives you room to enjoy the river, the food, the temples and the people behind the history.

  • Start the day at Giza, where the pyramids and the Sphinx still stop people in their tracks after thousands of years. Your leader and local guide add the stories, context and small details that make the site land differently. Later, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to an enormous collection of ancient artifacts and the treasures connected to Tutankhamun.

Wander through Khan al-Khalili, then follow El Moez Street past medieval architecture, perfume shops, spice stalls and glowing brass lamps. Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
Ramadan can be a fascinating time to visit Egypt, but regular services may shift. Restaurants and cafes can operate differently during the day, and local events may affect timing. Your leader will adjust the flow where needed, so a flexible mindset helps.

This is a Premium trip, but Egypt still comes with heat, crowds, airport logistics and uneven ground at ancient sites. Bring comfortable shoes, sun protection and a little patience alongside the excitement.
Visa information
Visa details are provided through Sherpa, a third-party service. The “Add connection” feature only shows transit visa requirements, not full entry visas. Additional service fees apply if you purchase a visa via Sherpa.
Accommodation
Comfortable hotel (5 nights), Feature Stay (3 nights).
The named properties are a guide and may be replaced with similar-standard hotels or riverboats if availability changes. Early check-in is requested where possible but never guaranteed, so luggage may be stored while the group explores. Your Nile riverboat Feature Stay gives you a comfortable base while keeping the river at the center of the trip.
