Yes. This is required before your trip begins since some places may demand proof of insurance for all foreign visitors.
At a minimum, your policy must cover: medical expenses.
The coverage requirements can differ depending upon the trip, and therefore, please refer to the Travel Insurance section of your Essential Trip Information.
It is not possible for you to be able to join that group until:
- your insurance policy number$
- your insurance provider's 24-hour emergency contact.
Moreover, if one is traveling in the USA, EU, or Switzerland, it is not possible for travel insurance to be made mandatory for them from a legal perspective. Nonetheless, it is highly recommended for them. Travelers who do not buy travel insurance have to sign a Travel Insurance Waiver Form, in which they accept responsibility for any medical or emergency expenses that they might have to pay during their travel.
