No, for tourism. U.S. citizens do not require a visa for a period of up to 30 days for tourism. This is a Visa-Free Entry (Bebas Visa).
- Important: This 30-day stay is non-extendable and non-conversionable to other permits. You are required to depart within 30 days.
- Passport Validity: Your passport should be valid for at least six months from your date of entry.
- Return/Onward Ticket: Proof of return/onward ticket is required.

Yes, absolutely, and that is mandatory for all EurotourClub guests. Quality of healthcare varies significantly; serious problems require a medical evacuation to Singapore or Australia, which is extremely costly.
- Medical & Evacuation: Your policy should have a high medical benefit limit (minimum recommended: $200,000). Your policy should also include a benefit for emergency medical evacuation.
- Ensure that the activity coverage is such that it offers adventure activities such as volcano trekking, scuba diving, and motorbike riding, etc. (if applicable).
- Natural Disasters: Trip interruption/cancellation insurance for volcanic eruptions, etc., may be important.
Tipping is not a traditional custom; however, it is appreciated when good service is provided. A service charge of 10% is usually added to the bill.
- Restaurant: No need to tip if the service charge is already included. If not, then a round-up or 5 to 10 percent is a good gesture.
- Tour Guides & Drivers: If you are on a multiple-day tour, a daily tip of 50,000 - 100,000 IDR for a tour guide and 25,000 - 50,000 IDR for a tour driver is extremely liberal.
- Spa Therapists & Porters: Between Rp 10,000 - Rp 20,000 per treatment or bag.
