Spend the morning exploring Las Tintoreras, a cluster of volcanic islets just off Isla Isabela that are home to some of the Galapagos' most iconic wildlife. Cruise by small motorboat in search of blue-footed boobies and the rare Galapagos penguin before walking through a nesting area filled with marine iguanas. At Shark Alley, observe white-tip reef sharks resting in the crystal-clear shallows, then snorkel among sea turtles, playful sea lions, eagle rays, colourful fish and sea stars. After lunch, visit the Arnaldo Tupiza Giant Tortoise Breeding Center and a nearby lagoon where elegant flamingos gather. End the day with a relaxing kayak through the calm waters of Puerto Villamil Bay, keeping an eye out for pelicans, frigatebirds and vibrant Sally Lightfoot crabs before enjoying a spectacular Galapagos sunset on the beach.
