FRENCH CHARM, FJORDS, WHALE WATERS

Quebec Fjords and Old City Light

This 8-day Quebec trip moves from Montreal's old streets to the villages, islands, fjords and whale waters of the St. Lawrence region before ending in Quebec City. It blends French-Canadian food, Indigenous storytelling, easy national park walks and historic neighborhoods in a way that feels relaxed, cultured and quietly outdoorsy.

From there, drive to Ile d'Orleans, a rural island known for farms, fresh produce and French-Canadian roots. Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
This trip does not require serious hiking fitness, but you should be comfortable with a moderate amount of walking during guided city visits and outdoor activities. The itinerary includes two easy-to-moderate park walks, including a hike of about 6.5 km / 4 mi in Grands-Jardins National Park.

The pace is active but not rushed. Several days include private-vehicle travel between regions, with the longest travel day around 5 hours. The reward is a broader look at Quebec beyond the two big cities: islands, villages, fjord country and whale waters.

Weather can shift quickly near the St. Lawrence and in national parks. Bring layers, comfortable walking shoes and a rain jacket, especially for boat time and trail days.
