Pass historic buildings along Avenida de Mayo, see Casa Rosada, wander the antique-market atmosphere of San Telmo and maybe pause for coffee at Cafe Tortoni. Return to the hotel for the 6 pm welcome meeting, where the group runs through the practical details for the trip.

Head straight to the national park for your first look at Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side, where the panorama shows the full sweep of the cascades. Is this trip right for you?
This route moves quickly and includes some long travel, especially the overnight bus to Puerto Iguazu. The bus has reclining seats and onboard toilets, but it is still a long ride, so bring snacks, water, layers and something to pass the time.

Accommodation and service may feel different from what American travelers are used to at home. The estancia stay is intentionally simple and shared, with dormitory-style rooms, rural facilities and a more relaxed approach to comfort.

The trip crosses several borders and uses ferries, buses, a flight and local transfers. It works best for travelers who enjoy variety and can stay flexible when transport days take time.

Buenos Aires is served by Ezeiza International Airport and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery Airport. If you do not have a transfer, use the official taxi desks inside the airport.

This trip starts with an orientation walk at 1 pm on Day 1 in Buenos Aires. If flight timing makes that difficult, consider booking an extra pre-tour night at the joining hotel.

The trip ends on Day 10 in Rio de Janeiro, and you are free to leave any time after checkout.

A single supplement may be available for travelers who prefer a private room, but it does not apply to Days 3, 4 and 5 at the estancia or Day 6 on the overnight bus, where shared accommodation is used. Availability is limited.

You may need a Brazilian visa for this trip. Processing can take around 2 to 5 weeks, depending on the embassy or consulate, so check requirements well before departure.

Please provide your full name exactly as shown on your passport, including any middle names, at the time of booking. This is needed for bus, train or flight tickets. Changes within 45 days of departure may incur fees, and in some cases new tickets may need to be issued at your expense.

For Argentina, carrying US dollars is strongly recommended. ATMs are widely available, but daily withdrawal limits and fluctuating exchange rates can make relying only on cards inconvenient.
