Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
Travel in East Africa is an adventure in itself, and flexibility is part of the experience. Journey times may vary due to weather, road conditions and wildlife sightings, so be prepared for unexpected detours and memorable moments along the way.
This is a 4WD overland adventure, travelling through remote communities and some of the region’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. While some driving days can be long, the spectacular scenery and shared experiences with your group are all part of the journey.

Early starts are common to make the most of wildlife viewing opportunities and to maximise travel time between destinations. The itinerary also includes a range of optional activities, which are subject to availability and may vary in price depending on local operators.
Please note that gorilla trekking can be physically demanding, involving steep, muddy and sometimes slippery trails in humid rainforest conditions. Participants should be comfortable walking for up to four hours over uneven terrain in order to fully enjoy this extraordinary experience.
If you have additional time to explore the region, consider extending your adventure with a longer East African safari for even more wildlife and cultural experiences.
