Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
Gorilla trekking is an unforgettable experience, but it can also be physically demanding. Expect humid conditions, muddy trails and uneven terrain as you hike through the dense rainforest in search of these incredible primates. Treks may involve several hours of walking over steep hills and forest paths, so a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.

To protect the gorillas and ensure a responsible wildlife experience, trekking groups are carefully managed. Participants may be assigned to different groups based on fitness levels, with a maximum of eight visitors permitted to visit each gorilla family, accompanied by experienced wildlife rangers and trackers.
For travellers wishing to deepen their experience, a second gorilla trek can be arranged, subject to permit availability. As permits are limited and highly sought after, advance booking is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.
Visa information
Visa information is provided by Sherpa, a trusted third-party. The “Add connection” feature only shows transit visa requirements and does not cover full entry visas. U.S. citizens traveling to Italy for stays under 90 days typically do not need a tourist visa. Additional service fees may apply if you choose to purchase a visa through Sherpa. Always check official sources before traveling.
Accommodation
Hotel (2 nights), Feature Stay Eco-Lodge (3 nights)
Accommodation listed in the itinerary is intended as a guide and may occasionally be substituted due to operational requirements or limited availability. In such cases, a property of a similar standard and comfort level will be provided.
We work closely with our accommodation partners to have rooms ready upon arrival whenever possible, particularly if the group reaches the hotel before the standard check-in time. However, early check-in cannot always be guaranteed. If rooms are not yet available, luggage storage will be arranged so you can begin exploring your destination or relax in shared facilities until your room is ready.
