Big skies. Bigger wildlife.

Kenya Wildlife Safari

This 8-day EurotourClub trip through Sierra Leone keeps the focus on culture, scenery and local life, with a route that feels active, local and easy to follow.

Expect a warm, practical travel style: enough structure to keep the days moving, and enough real-life texture to make the destination feel personal.

Why you'll love this trip

  • Market Flavors
Taste local life through markets, kitchens and meals that tell a bigger story.
  • Head Boma Community
Meet everyday life through shared spaces, local hosts and honest conversation.
  • Kenema Gain Deeper
A hands-on experience that makes the destination feel closer.
  • Set Off River
Watch wildlife with guide-led context, patient spotting and plenty of wide-open drama.
  • Trail Days
See the landscape from the water, where the pace softens and details stand out.
  • Spend Time Banana
A signature stop that gives the trip its own sense of place and pace.
This is Sierra Leone with the big moments included, but the smaller human details kept in the picture. The trip works because it balances movement, context and enough breathing room to actually enjoy where you are.

Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
Sierra Leone's tourism industry is still in its infancy, and there are some challenges to overcome, like a lack of infrastructure in some locations, reliable systems, and trained leaders and guides. Even the most experienced leaders are still very new to group travel. Sites are occasionally closed with little or no notice and restoration work is common. You'll need to have a degree of flexibility when traveling here. We've sourced our accommodation very carefully and picked the best possible hotels in line with the EurotourClub style of travel, but service levels and accommodation in West Africa may differ from standards at home. In certain regions, electricity may be available only during specific hours.
Visa information
Visa details are provided through Sherpa, a third-party service. The “Add connection” feature only shows transit visa requirements, not full entry visas. Additional service fees apply if you purchase a visa via Sherpa.
Accommodation
Hotel (3 nights), Camping (basic facilities) (1 night), Research Centre (1 night), Guesthouse (2 nights) The style of accommodation indicated in the day-to-day itinerary is a guideline only and may change. On some occasions, alternative arrangements may need to be made due to the lack of availability of rooms in our preferred accommodation. In these cases, we will use a similar standard of accommodation. Throughout the trip, we request that our properties prepare rooms in time for our arrival, especially if we're arriving prior to normal check-in time. However, this isn't always possible, which means we won't be able to check in immediately on arrival at some hotels. Instead, we can store our luggage and explore our new destination or, on some trips, have use of shared day rooms until all rooms are available. ACCOMMODATION: Some of the accommodation along the way is basic or simple, staying in local guesthouses and community run campsites.
