Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
Climate & Weather
Namibia’s summer season, which runs from November to March, can be extremely hot, particularly in desert regions. Daytime temperatures commonly range between 30°C and 35°C, while some desert areas can experience temperatures exceeding 40°C. We recommend bringing lightweight clothing, sun protection, and staying well hydrated throughout the journey.
Early Starts
Several days on this itinerary begin early to maximise wildlife-viewing opportunities during the cooler morning hours and to make the most of long travel days. These early departures often provide the best chances to spot animals and enjoy the landscapes before the heat of the day.
Extended Travel Opportunities
  • This journey may be combined with other Southern Africa itineraries, meaning some travellers may continue their adventure beyond Namibia. If you would like to explore more of the region, consider extending your trip with a longer Southern Africa itinerary for an even more comprehensive experience.
Visa information
Visa information is provided by Sherpa, a trusted third-party. The “Add connection” feature only shows transit visa requirements and does not cover full entry visas. U.S. citizens traveling to Italy for stays under 90 days typically do not need a tourist visa. Additional service fees may apply if you choose to purchase a visa through Sherpa. Always check official sources before traveling.
Accommodation
Comfortable Lodges & Hotels
Stay in a mix of well-appointed lodges and hotels that offer comfort, character, and excellent locations throughout your adventure.
Alternative Accommodation
Due to the growing popularity of tourism in Southern Africa and the limited number of accommodation providers in some destinations, alternative properties may occasionally be used. Any substitute accommodation will always be of a similar standard, and included activities will remain unchanged.
Sustainable Tourism Practices
Many destinations deliberately limit accommodation capacity to help preserve local ecosystems, reduce environmental impact, and maintain the unique character of the region.
Remote Area Facilities
Some lodges and wilderness properties operate using generators, which are often switched off overnight. Facilities may differ from those found in larger cities, adding to the authentic nature of the experience.
Medical Equipment Requirements
Travellers who use a sleep apnea machine should ensure it is battery-operated, as continuous overnight electricity may not be available at certain lodges and camps.
Flights
Please note: flight arrangements

We can assist with booking flights from any airport in the United States that is convenient for you. Occasionally, alternative routing or airlines may need to be arranged due to availability, but we will always ensure your flights align with your tour dates and provide the same level of comfort and reliability. Our goal is to make your journey to Italy smooth, stress-free, and perfectly timed with your tour.
