- Drive to Porto Novo, Benin's capital, set by Lake Nokoue and known for its leafy streets and calmer pace. Explore the old city with a local guide, then visit the Songhai Centre, a major sustainable farming project with plantations, workshops, and locally made produce. After lunch, ride a pirogue along the Adjara Black River, passing marshes and floating greenery on the way to a quiet village. Later, visit a palm nut distillery before a free evening back at the hotel.
