Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
This journey includes hikes in warm, humid conditions, so a moderate level of fitness will help you enjoy it more. Bring sturdy walking shoes, sun protection, a hat, and a refillable water bottle. Roads, weather, traffic, and local schedules can shift travel times, so a flexible attitude is part of the adventure here. Tourism infrastructure in Benin, Togo, and Ghana is still developing, which means some services may feel simpler than what you are used to at home.
Visa information
Visa details are provided through Sherpa, a third-party service. The “Add connection” feature only shows transit visa requirements, not full entry visas. Additional service fees apply if you purchase a visa via Sherpa.
Accommodation
Accommodation is a mix of hotels and guesthouses, with 12 nights in hotels and 2 nights in guesthouses. Standards can vary by location, and in some places rooms may be simple, power may be limited at certain times, and hot water, air conditioning, or Wi-Fi may not always be reliable. If any room issue comes up during the trip, speak with the hotel and your tour leader right away so it can be handled quickly. In guesthouse-style stays, the experience is meant to feel local and natural, with opportunities to observe daily life, join in if invited, or simply take a quiet moment for yourself.
