Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
  1. Costa Rica is generally more expensive than many other Central American countries, so expect higher prices for meals, activities and everyday expenses during parts of the trip.
  2. This adventure uses a combination of private transport and local public transportation. While public transport offers a more authentic travel experience and is better for the environment, some journeys may be basic and require flexibility.
  3. Border crossings between Costa Rica and Panama are usually straightforward, although waiting times can occasionally be longer than expected. Patience and flexibility are recommended during travel days.
  4. Central America’s climate is typically hot and humid throughout the year, though evenings and higher-altitude destinations can feel cooler. We recommend bringing lightweight layered clothing, sun protection, a waterproof jacket and staying hydrated throughout the trip. Please note that air conditioning may not always be available, and in some accommodations it may require an additional fee.
Visa information
Visa information is provided by Sherpa, a trusted third-party. The “Add connection” feature only shows transit visa requirements and does not cover full entry visas. U.S. citizens traveling to Italy for stays under 90 days typically do not need a tourist visa. Additional service fees may apply if you choose to purchase a visa through Sherpa. Always check official sources before traveling.
Accommodation
Hotel (11 nights)

The accommodation listed in the itinerary is intended as a guide and may occasionally change. In some situations, alternative accommodation may be used due to limited availability at our preferred properties. When this happens, a similar standard of comfort and quality will be provided.

Throughout the journey, we work closely with our accommodation providers to have rooms prepared upon arrival, especially when arriving before standard check-in times. However, early check-in cannot always be guaranteed. If rooms are not yet ready, luggage storage will be available so you can explore the destination or relax in shared facilities until check-in becomes possible.
Flights
Please note: flight arrangements

We can assist with booking flights from any airport in the United States that is convenient for you. Occasionally, alternative routing or airlines may need to be arranged due to availability, but we will always ensure your flights align with your tour dates and provide the same level of comfort and reliability. Our goal is to make your journey to Italy smooth, stress-free, and perfectly timed with your tour.
