  • After breakfast, set out with a local guide for an eye-opening visit to the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) – the heavily guarded border separating North and South Korea. From the South Korean side, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the history and impact of the Korean War while visiting important landmarks such as the Third Tunnel of Aggression, the Unification Bridge, Imjingak Park and the Dora Observatory, where you can look across the border into North Korea.

After lunch, return to Seoul to explore the magnificent Gyeongbokgung Palace, the grand royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. Surrounded by mountains and traditional architecture, the palace offers a fascinating glimpse into Korea’s royal past.

Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
  1. This trip includes one night in a traditional Korean hanok house in Gyeongju, where guests sleep on Korean-style floor bedding. Futon-style mattresses are placed directly on the floor, which may feel firmer than Western beds, but heated floors, blankets and pillows help create a warm and comfortable stay.
  2. The temple visit offers a unique opportunity to experience Korean Buddhist culture and traditions firsthand. As part of respecting local customs and dress codes, travellers should wear clothing that covers the shoulders and knees during the visit.
Visa information
Visa information is provided by Sherpa, a trusted third-party. The “Add connection” feature only shows transit visa requirements and does not cover full entry visas. U.S. citizens traveling to Italy for stays under 90 days typically do not need a tourist visa. Additional service fees may apply if you choose to purchase a visa through Sherpa. Always check official sources before traveling.

General Rooming Configurations
Families of Two
Families travelling as two people will generally be accommodated in a twin room.
Families of Three
Whenever possible, families of three will stay in a triple room. Please note that triple rooms can be limited in some destinations and may consist of a twin room with an additional rollaway bed or floor mattress. If a triple room is unavailable, one family member may need to stay in a separate single room.
Families of Four or More
Larger families will most commonly be accommodated in two twin rooms. Where available, quadruple rooms may also be arranged.
While every effort will be made to place family rooms close together or provide adjoining rooms when possible, this cannot be guaranteed. Family departures often take place during busy travel seasons, and room placement within hotels may be limited by availability. We appreciate your understanding if rooms cannot always be located directly beside one another.
