- Begin the day with a guided walking tour through Chongqing and experience the city like a local. Explore the historic Old Town, wander along Longmenhao Old Street, walk beneath the skyscrapers of Nanbin Road and visit the famous Hongya Cave. Learn about Chongqing’s history as you cross the Yangtze River by public cable car and ferry. Finish the tour with a traditional Chongqing hotpot lunch inside a former World War II air-raid shelter, now transformed into a unique dining space. There are a few long travel days on high-speed trains, so you’ll need to manage your own luggage through busy stations. China’s most popular attractions can get crowded with both local and international visitors, so comfortable shoes and a little patience will go a long way. As this trip includes limited time in Hong Kong, we recommend arriving early to explore the city further before the tour begins.

U.S. citizens traveling to Italy for stays under 90 days typically do not need a tourist visa. Additional service fees may apply if you choose to purchase a visa through Sherpa.
