Trip moments from our travelers
Before you book you should know
Is this trip right for you?
There are a few long travel days on high-speed trains, so you’ll need to manage your own luggage through busy stations. China’s most popular attractions can get crowded with both local and international visitors, so comfortable shoes and a little patience will go a long way. As this trip includes limited time in Hong Kong, we recommend arriving early to explore the city further before the tour begins.
Visa information
Visa information is provided by Sherpa, a trusted third-party. The “Add connection” feature only shows transit visa requirements and does not cover full entry visas. U.S. citizens traveling to Italy for stays under 90 days typically do not need a tourist visa. Additional service fees may apply if you choose to purchase a visa through Sherpa. Always check official sources before traveling.
Accommodation
Hotel (9 nights)
HOTEL ROOMS:
Some hotels in China may have firmer mattresses than travellers are used to at home. If needed, you can request an extra quilt or additional bedding from the hotel staff for added comfort.
SMOKING ROOMS:
Smoking is still common in China, and some hotels may not offer fully non-smoking rooms. In larger hotels with central air conditioning, smoke odours can occasionally travel between rooms. While hotels aim to clean and ventilate rooms thoroughly, traces of smoke may still remain. If this becomes an issue, please speak with your leader about the possibility of changing rooms.
WIFI:
WiFi is usually available in hotel reception areas and sometimes in guest rooms. Your leader can recommend the best places to get connected during the trip.
Flights
Please note: flight arrangements

We can assist with booking flights from any airport in the United States that is convenient for you. Occasionally, alternative routing or airlines may need to be arranged due to availability, but we will always ensure your flights align with your tour dates and provide the same level of comfort and reliability. Our goal is to make your journey to Italy smooth, stress-free, and perfectly timed with your tour.
