  • This morning, take a short flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa. On arrival, you’ll immediately feel the slower, more relaxed pace of island life compared to the bustling capital. Known locally as “Puerto,” this city is the capital of Palawan and has been internationally recognised as one of the cleanest and greenest cities in the Philippines.
This afternoon, visit a local farm and learn how to prepare traditional Filipino rice snacks, an essential part of daily life known as merienda. In the evening, unwind along the Iwahig River, where you’ll witness a magical display of glowing fireflies lighting up the mangroves at dusk.

Despite the possibilities of delays, the laidback nature of this destination is well worth the wait.
