Ki kati! Welcome to Uganda. Your adventure begins at 9 am this morning at your joining point hotel, where you’ll be picked up and set off toward Lake Mburo National Park.
This unique park is characterized by acacia woodland, setting it apart from many other East African reserves — and giving rise to a different mix of wildlife. It’s one of the best places in Uganda to spot the impressive eland antelope and is home to around 68 species of mammals, including zebras, impalas, buffalo, leopards, hyenas and jackals.
Within the park, five lakes provide a haven for hippos, crocodiles and a wide variety of birdlife, while the papyrus swamps shelter rare species like the sitatunga antelope and colorful papyrus gonalek. Less visited than other parks in the region, Lake Mburo offers a more peaceful and intimate safari experience.
On arrival, head straight out on a game drive to spot wildlife before continuing to Mbarara, where you’ll settle into your accommodation for the night.
