It’s important to attend the welcome meeting at the beginning of your trip — during this time, your leader will collect your travel insurance and emergency contact details. If you think you might arrive late, please let your travel agent or the hotel reception know in advance. You can also check with reception or look for a note posted in the lobby for details about the meeting’s time and location.
  • After breakfast, set out with your leader on an orientation walk through Helsinki, taking in highlights like the iconic Helsinki Cathedral and the Design Museum.
Later in the afternoon, board an overnight ferry to Stockholm — a journey that’s as memorable as the destination. Once on board, settle in and enjoy the experience: dine at one of the restaurants, unwind with a drink at the bar, or catch live entertainment as the sun slowly sinks into the sea. You’ll also see the famous Vasa Museum, home to the remarkably preserved 17th-century warship Vasa, which sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and was brought back to the surface centuries later.
No visit to Sweden is complete without fika — the beloved ritual of slowing down over coffee, pastries, and conversation. Take a break with a strong brew and a classic cinnamon bun, and soak in this simple but meaningful tradition.
