U.S. citizens traveling to Italy for stays under 90 days typically do not need a tourist visa. Additional service fees may apply if you choose to purchase a visa through Sherpa. While we do our best to arrange early room access, this isn’t always guaranteed. If rooms aren’t ready upon arrival, you’ll be able to store your luggage and start exploring or relax in shared spaces until check-in is available.

Accommodation is based on twin or multishare rooms. Solo travellers will be paired with someone of the same gender. At times, facilities may be shared rather than ensuite, and on rare occasions, you may share with travellers from another group.

  3. Hunedoara Castle is currently not included in the itinerary due to renovations and limited guide availability. Instead, the program features a guided visit to the UNESCO-listed Sarmizegetusa Regia, as well as visits to Peles Castle and Bran Castle.
